Casey & Grier | Sharp Top Elopement

When I first talked to Casey about her wedding day, she wasn’t planning on hiring a photographer. She wanted the ceremony to be small, intimate and very low key. She asked me for my suggestion on locations and that was it! Boy am I thankful she changed her mind…

After discussing her vision, she agreed that she wanted professional photos taken to document this spectacular day. I was thrilled!! This was my first elopement AND my first time shooting on Sharp Top Mountain in the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Casey and Grier are two peas in a pod. They are definitely eachothers’ missing puzzle piece. They met in Florida a few years ago and have been inseparable ever since. They both have the sweetest souls and are SO down to earth and genuine. On their wedding day they were literally BEAMING with immeasurable joy. It was a beautiful sight to witness.

We started off at Smith Mountain Lake and then made our way up to Sharp Top. When we got to the top, the three of us were speechless. The view was immaculate. Just when I thought they couldn’t look any happier and in love, they embraced each other on top of the mountain, as if they were the only two souls in the world.

This way was magical. I’m so, so thankful for the opportunity to witness and capture this love.
